Tyler is an experienced and trusted patent and IP litigator who counsels clients in many different industries on a broad swathe of issues relating to multiple forums.
Tyler regularly works on significant patent infringement cases, advising both plaintiffs and defendants in federal court cases throughout the United States and at the International Trade Commission. He handles issues related to all facets of litigation, including discovery, claim construction, invalidity, non-infringement, damages, summary judgment, deposition practice, and trial. Tyler also has extensive experience representing both petitioners and patent owners in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, including serving as lead or backup counsel in more than 100 IPRs.
Tyler has advised clients on patent infringement litigation and IPR proceedings relating to a variety of subject matters, including semiconductors, mobile communications, cybersecurity, biotechnology, and medical devices.

Motions to amend have been part of America Invents Act trials since their inception. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office solicited public input on the motion to amend process, which was followed by a study by the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
