Sam's practice focuses on technology and intellectual property-related transactions, as well as the technology-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, debt financing transactions, and other corporate matters.
Clients in a range of industries, including aviation, financial services, consumer electronics, and social media rely on Sam Hong for his experience negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements relating to patents, trademarks, software, and other technology. His work is informed by his experience as in-house counsel at Samsung Electronics, where he counseled Samsung's M&A and semiconductor divisions.
In addition to his legal practice, Sam is an associate board member for Urban Initiatives, a not-for-profit organization that runs health, education, and character development programming for Chicago Public School students.
