Sam M. Kim
Counsel Sammy Kim has experience advising companies on a range of legal and financial issues.
She regularly drafts formation, financing, employment, equity and general governance documents for emerging companies in various stages. In addition to technology companies, she also advises companies involved in retail, consumer packaged goods and private equity.
While attending the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, Sammy participated in the law school's Mediation Clinic, where she mediated a variety of cases weekly in small claims court, civil limited court, the State of California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the State of California's Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. In addition, Sammy served as judicial extern for the Hon. Thomas B. Donovan of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
Sammy's background also includes working for Teach for America, where she was a middle school life science teacher. In her tenure, she founded an Automation and Robotics Program and established a Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement Program.
