Rich has counseled several generations of clients and has helped them plan and manage their wealth preservation and transfer wishes. 

Richard Guggenhime advises a range of clients, including individuals and families seeking to protect their hard-earned assets and high net worth clients with sophisticated personal planning and federal taxation related to gifts and estates, guiding them through the challenges associated with complex estates.

Well regarded within the wealth management profession, particularly for working productively with his clients' home office and affiliated professionals and advisers, Rich has called upon nearly every estate planning tool in service to upholding his clients' goals. From drafting revocable and irrevocable trusts for U.S. citizens and noncitizens to advising owners of family and closely held business entities to trust administration, Rich offers an insightful, caring, and comprehensive perspective through every stage of personal planning.

Rich is the president of the Stanley S. Langendorf Foundation and has an extensive background in public service in San Francisco's leading civic organizations. He has served on the city and county's Parking Authority, Board of Appeals, Fire Commission, Airport Commission, and Recreation and Park Commission, and he is currently on the board of directors of the State Compensation Insurance Fund.
