Patent Attorney Matt Williams has represented clients ranging from small startups to large, established technology companies.
Matt has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as performing patentability, freedom to operate and invalidity analyses. Matt works to develop and protect patent portfolios by prosecuting patent applications in the United States, Europe, China, Japan, Korea, Australia and other global jurisdictions. Matt also performs patent portfolio analysis and intellectual property counseling and assists with patent litigation matters.
With his physics and mathematics background, Matt is comfortable with a wide variety of technologies and uses his experience to provide strategic counseling for clients in view of their technology and their larger business. He has worked extensively on matters involving semiconductor devices, medical devices, aerospace systems, autonomous vehicles, popcorn machines, batteries, smartphone applications and IoT systems. Within the medical device sector, Matt has significant experience with systems and devices for treating pulmonary and cerebral embolisms, intravascular neuromodulation, catheter-based measurement devices, braiding machines, microfluidic devices, therapeutic and diagnostic ultrasound systems, portable wound imaging devices, brain-computer interfaces, ostomy devices and cardiac pacing.
