Katherine Joseph
Katherine Joseph represents emerging and high-growth privately held and public companies across a wide range of industries, including software-as-a-service (SaaS), artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), mobile applications, clean technology, energy and natural resources, and consumer products.
Her practice encompasses corporate and transactional matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, equity compensation, venture capital (VC) and strategic financings, securities regulations, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Katherine also represents investors who invest in emerging growth companies, including VC funds, strategic investors, and corporate venture groups.
Katherine maintains an active pro bono practice, providing legal representation for clients pursuing domestic violence protection orders. In addition, she counsels nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations and volunteers at the Communities Rise Microenterprise Legal clinic, assisting small businesses with general corporate matters, entity formation, and commercial contracts. Katherine is a leader within the firm, serving on both the Summer Associate Committee and the Seattle office Pro Bono Committee.
Katherine is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where she was the research editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Law & Social Change. Katherine also earned a Wharton Certificate in Management. Katherine earned her undergraduate degree at Emory University, where she graduated with high honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
