Flora Y. Wang
Flora focuses her practice on privacy and cybersecurity matters.
Flora Wang counsels clients across industries on global, local, and industry-specific privacy regulations. She advises companies on developing products, drafting privacy policies, preparing information security policies, and revising data processing addenda. She also has experience analyzing privacy and cybersecurity risks relating to corporate transactions, and guiding clients during data breaches. Flora is designated as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
While earning her J.D. at Harvard Law School, Flora received a Salzburg Cutler Fellowship and a Cravath International Fellowship for her scholarship on global data privacy law. Drawing from research interviews conducted in Tokyo, her Note on "Cooperative Data Privacy: The Japanese Model of Data Privacy and the EU-Japan GDPR Adequacy Agreement" was published in the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology and won second place in the journal's writing competition. In 2020, she presented her research paper at the Salzburg Cutler Fellows Program conference in Washington D.C.
Prior to law school, Flora was a Fulbright Research Scholar, won an international entrepreneurship contest, and worked at a global law firm in New York. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
