Donald Mills
DJ Mills is an associate within the firm's Financial Services practice group and centers his practice on emerging and established fintech companies, with an emphasis on the digital asset custody space.
He assists clients with a broad range of regulatory and transactional matters, including those that implicate money services, securities, and banking law.
DJ has helped clients form banking entities, including a national trust bank and several state nondepository trust companies, and acquire and maintain state money transmitter and virtual currency business activity licenses. He also supports clients with their ongoing legal and compliance questions, including those related to compliance programs (e.g., cybersecurity and anti-money laundering), commercial agreements, and the development of new products or services
DJ's practice also touches on general corporate law, having assisted companies with entity formation, terms of service, corporate governance, and restructuring matters.
