Christopher D. Jones

Chris Jones is experienced in the field of patent law where he has worked as a patent agent and technology specialist.

Chris has experience searching patent and scientific literature for patentability, infringement avoidance, validity and interferences in various technology areas. His practice now focuses on patent litigation, specifically in the chemical and pharmaceutical areas, such as Hatch-Waxman/ANDA litigation.

With a diverse background in both chemical and biochemical technologies including pharmaceutical chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, polymer chemistry and cell biology, Chris has performed research directed towards drug development and formulation, specifically the development of solid and crystalline forms of new and existing drug compounds.

While earning his J.D. at George Mason University School of Law, Chris worked as a patent agent and technology specialist, where he used his background in chemistry to assist patent attorneys with opinion preparation and patent prosecution matters. He was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society and graduated with a concentration in intellectual property law.

Representing Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in two Hatch-Waxman litigations in the District of New Jersey, contesting validity and infringement of formulation patents and method-of-treatment patents relating to pomalidomide (Pomalyst®). Cases are ongoing.

Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation v. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Inc.

U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware
Representing Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in Hatch-Waxman litigation in the District of Delaware, contesting the validity and infringement of patents relating to sacubitril/valsartan (Entresto®). Case is ongoing.
