Caleb Bacos
Caleb works with a wide variety of clients to ensure that their intellectual property (IP) is well-protected in and out of court.
As a litigator, Caleb represents businesses in the technology, gaming, retail, and food industries in disputes involving trademark, copyright, and trade secret issues. He also has experience managing trademark, copyright, and domain name enforcement programs for local nonprofits, as well as multinational corporations with large portfolios. He is also well-versed in preparing and defending copyright applications, and in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). This year, he was recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in IP law.
While earning his J.D. at the University of Chicago, Caleb worked as a student attorney in the Supreme Court and Appellate Clinic, where he contributed to briefs and petitions for certiorari filed with the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. This experience has carried over to his pro bono practice, where, in addition to counseling on IP matters, he has assisted with petitions to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on behalf of patients with terminal and life-threatening illnesses.
