Perkins Coie Named One of 2020’s “Best Law Firms for Women” by Working Mother Magazine
SEATTLE (September 11, 2020) — Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that it has been named one of the 2020 "Best Law Firms for Women" by Working Mother magazine. The 2020 list recognizes leading U.S. law firms for their policies on recruiting, retaining, promoting, and developing women lawyers. Perkins Coie is one of just eight firms that have been featured on the Working Mother list 12 times.
The list highlights law firms that offered more extended parental leave benefits and encouraged more attorneys to work remotely and use flexible hours prior to the COVID-19 pandemic impacting the U.S. economy. It also focuses on the number of women lawyers promoted to equity partner and the offering of formal mentoring programs for women, among other benchmarks.
"Perkins Coie's management team is committed to the career advancement of all our women attorneys and staff," said Perkins Coie's Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Genhi Givings Bailey. "The retention and promotion of women attorneys is a priority of the firm, and we're honored to be recognized by Working Mother magazine for our ongoing efforts."
