Jeannil is a trusted adviser to Fortune 50 companies, tech startups, and high-profile individuals facing urgent, sensitive, and complex employment issues or crises.
Jeannil Boji addresses complicated and delicate employment matters before they become expensive and publicized problems. Jeannil focuses on avoiding litigation and minimizing legal exposure by anticipating and addressing issues early on. Through proactive counseling, she assists with effective agreements and workplace policies, trainings, investigations, and strategic dispute resolution involving highly sensitive and cutting-edge workplace legal issues.
Jeannil advises on matters involving noncompete and trade secret law, workplace privacy and technology, whistleblower claims, remote workers and gig economy concerns, and high-stakes executive issues. She leads investigations of trade secret and other data breaches, coordinates forensic reviews, and develops recovery and preservation protocols. Jeannil also handles workplace investigations and internal compliance issues, and she provides employment law-related training to companies concerned about #MeToo issues, sexual harassment and discrimination, and racial discrimination and bias.
When litigation is unavoidable, Jeannil brings more than 15 years of experience in federal and state courts across the country. Her practice covers noncompetition, restrictive covenants, trade secret misappropriation, and unfair competition. Jeannil litigates and mediates complex labor and employment disputes, including wage-and-hour class and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act; whistleblower retaliation claims; and discrimination and retaliation cases under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act.
Jeannil also advises companies on evolving cannabis laws—guiding companies on best practices for employee investigations, drug testing, discipline, discharge, accommodation requests, and workplace policies involving cannabis in states where marijuana is legal for recreational or medicinal use.
