Dana assists clients in the fintech industry with civil legal process responses, and the acquisition and maintenance of state money transmitter licenses.
Dana Talant focuses on assisting clients acquire and maintain state money transmitter and virtual currency business activity licenses. During a secondment, she focused on developing civil legal process response procedures and policies, creating and maintaining detailed overviews of procedures and guidelines, and advising clients on recommended international civil request responses, transfers of funds, and cross-border transfers of data.
Dana has significant electronic discovery experience with matters including privacy, consumer class actions brought under the Illinois Biometric Privacy Act (BIPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), antitrust, aerospace, regulatory investigations, intellectual property, construction, and internal corporate investigations.
Dana also has experience in international human rights law, having worked for the United Nations Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights and attending the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.
