Aaron J. Ver

Aaron is a trial lawyer focused on high-stakes litigation, primarily in contract disputes, real estate, class action, emerging technology, post-closing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and employment.

Aaron Ver represents clients in federal and state courts, in arbitrations, and before administrative tribunals.

Clients turn to Aaron to formulate and execute strategies to achieve their business goals. Aaron draws from valuable business experience serving as a litigation strategist secondee to a global company. In addition, he has been named a Northern California "Rising Star" in Business Litigation by Super Lawyers in 2022 and 2023.

In his business litigation practice, Aaron represents plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes business disputes, including manufacturer–supplier disputes, post-closing litigation arising out of M&A deals, breaches of fiduciary duty, and nonsolicit and noncompete claims.

In his real estate litigation practice, Aaron represents clients with property and leaseholds throughout the country. He has prosecuted and defended a range of sophisticated multiparty matters ranging from fraud, title claims, broker liability, guarantor liability, lender exposure, construction disputes, veil-piercing questions, and fraudulent title claims to commercial landlord-tenant disputes. Aaron has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients. He has handled real estate disputes in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C. Aaron also recently obtained a successful verdict for clients facing imprisonment.

Aaron serves as an on-call adviser and outside general counsel to several emerging technology companies, assisting clients with trade secret protection, intellectual property (IP), and employment matters.

Aaron maintains an active pro bono practice; he has successfully obtained asylum for children and adults. His amicus brief on behalf of a civil rights organization in a constitutional citizenship lawsuit was cited extensively by the federal district court. He has been honored for exceptional work supporting the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California's Federal Pro Bono Project.

Represent a manufacturer of smart home products and hardware in breach of contract dispute with a reseller.

Logistics Company

Defend company against claims for breach of contract and obtain a favorable settlement prior to litigation.

Restaurant Owner

Represent a prominent restauranteur in breach of contract and fraud dispute against investors.

Welding Company

Represent a company and founder against claims for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty arising from company formation.

Company Co-Founders

Represent company founders in arbitration against fraud claims asserted in multiple states arising from a post-merger closing. Obtained a monetary judgment in clients’ favor and a complete dismissal of fraud allegations against founders.

Lender v. Broker

Real Estate Litigation

2221 Park Place Partners v. 2221 Park Place Tenant et al.

Represent a tenant special purpose entity (SPE) and guarantor in a lease dispute against a landlord arising out of a lease exit. Landlord brought various claims against both the tenant SPE and the guarantor. All of the landlord’s claims against the guarantor for breach of lease and breach of guaranty were dismissed with prejudice.

300 Prospect Properties, Inc. v. 180 Sansome Street Tenant LLC, et al.

Represent a tenant special purpose entity in a lease dispute relating to tenant improvements, construction issues, and lease termination. The case settled on very favorable terms to the tenant, including full lease exit.

700 K Street NW Tenant LLC v. TMG 800 K Street LLC

Represent a tenant in a dispute against the landlord for failure to pay the tenant $6.8 million in allowance funds. Case settled two weeks after the complaint was filed on terms favorable to the tenant, which obtained all allowance funds owed.

BuildGroup v. 152 N. 3d Street Tenant LLC

Represent a tenant special purpose entity in a construction dispute with a general contractor relating to tenant improvements and construction issues. The case settled on very favorable terms for the tenant.

Landowner Affirmative Quiet Title

Represent a landowner in an affirmative suit for quiet title and punitive damages against real estate brokerage firms, a title insurance company, and lenders for fraudulent deed of trust recorded on the landowner’s property.

Represent a multistate delivery and installation business in a putative class action litigation, raising various claims against a company’s pricing and wages.

Represent a video game company in a racial harassment dispute, obtained a favorable settlement and resolution of the matter.
