Please join Perkins Coie's Labor & Employment lawyers for their annual half-day virtual workshop on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. This year's agenda includes presentations on the Federal Trade Commission's controversial proposed ban on noncompete agreements and a panel presentation featuring noteworthy speakers addressing workplace violence. Other topics will include an update on seminal federal and state employment law developments, including those regarding employee arbitration agreements, traditional labor law issues, how to structure severance agreements post-McLaren, and pay transparency and reporting requirements.

Keynote Speaker

We are also delighted to announce that Elisabeth Jacobs will serve as keynote speaker on "Macroeconomic Trends and Job Mobility Within Labor Markets." A senior fellow at the Center on Labor, Human Services, and Population at the Urban Institute, Elisabeth is also the co-author of Moving the Needle: What Tight Labor Markets Do for the Poor and co-founder of WorkRise, a research-to-action network on jobs, workers, and mobility. Perkins Coie Senior Counsel Chris Wilkinson will join Elisabeth in a fireside chat to discuss barriers to employment opportunities, innovative method areas of recruiting and the type of biases workers face in employment, and practical steps employers can implement to foster equity in the workplace.
