Allison brings a practical and pragmatic approach to counseling clients, helping them to prepare for tomorrow while addressing the challenges of today.
Allison Handy is the firmwide co-chair of the Corporate & Securities practice. She is a trusted advisor to companies and boards of directors on critical corporate governance, securities compliance, and capital markets transactions.
Allison provides counsel to companies on a broad range of issues faced by management and directors, including securities law disclosure obligations, environmental and social sustainability disclosures, stock exchange listing requirements, internal investigations, fiduciary duties, and shareholder activism matters. Her corporate clients include Alliant Energy, Lithia Motors, Microsoft, Nordstrom, and PACCAR. Allison is also a leader of the firm's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) advisory team.
Allison is a frequent speaker and author on corporate governance and securities law topics. She is the co-founder of the firm's Public Chatter blog, and a co-editor and co-author of The Public Company Handbook: A Corporate Governance and Disclosure Guide for Directors and Executives (Sixth Edition, 2021). She also leads the firm's sponsorship of OnBoarding Women, a Seattle-based program dedicated to increasing gender equity in public company boardrooms.
