Our more than 120 experienced patent litigators are highly skilled at analyzing technology, with over 80% holding degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, life sciences, and other fields. Our clients benefit from the insight of numerous former Federal Circuit law clerks, a former solicitor and deputy general counsel for intellectual property law at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and a former lead administrative patent judge at the PTAB.

We protect our clients with a team of patent trial lawyers who have won jury trials in places like the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, Northern District of California, and District of Delaware. They are aided by leading in-house jury consultants and an in-house graphics team to make persuasive presentations at all phases of a case—from preliminary injunction motions to claim construction, summary judgment, trial, and beyond. We have litigated more than 350 patent cases in the past two years, with achievements that include wins on motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and after bench and jury trials. We have also resolved many disputes by negotiation of favorable settlements. We are proud to be recognized for our success in obtaining major patent litigation victories for clients.

Our practice offers experience in the major centers of district court patent litigation, including courts in Northern, Central, and Southern California; Delaware; Chicago; New York; and East and West Texas. Other distinctions include a sophisticated International Trade Commission Section 337 practice that has been involved in several landmark investigations and a top-tier post-grant practice before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board, where we have handled more than 800 inter partes review proceedings. And when cases go up on appeal, we have one of the nation’s leading Federal Circuit practices. Since 2016, we have had a record of 64 wins, 17 losses, and nine mixed decisions in Federal Circuit patent appeals and mandamus proceedings.
