BARDA has continued industry outreach efforts, holding several collaboration events related to specific Requests for Project Proposals and exhibiting at both the World Vaccines Congress meeting in Washington, D.C., and the INTERPHEX Conference in New York City. Notably, on April 5, 2024, the BioMaP-Consortium hosted the first ever BioMaP Industry Day in Arlington, Virginia.

Plans for the new Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Preparedness-Consortium, which was created to ensure the nation’s preparedness in the face of a future pandemic or other biomedical threat, are now underway, with the first BioMaP-Consortium General Membership Meeting scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., on February 21, 2024.

The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) held its first in-person BARDA Industry Day (BID) since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in Washington, D.C., on November 13-14, 2023.
