PALO ALTO (April 30, 2024) - Perkins Coie client Endiatx, which has developed the world’s first motorized pill camera for telemedicine, demonstrated its revolutionary Pillbot at the TED2024 Vancouver conference that has the potential to eliminate invasive medical procedures.

Endiatx co-founder and chairman Alex Luebke ingested one of the company’s wireless micro robotic pills on the TED stage that was then navigated around his stomach by Endiatx co-founder Vivek Kumbhari through the use of a game controller. Vivek is also a professor of medicine and chair of the Mayo Clinic’s Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Perkins Coie has advised Endiatx since 2019 and guided the company as its outside corporate counsel through numerous funding rounds, including its latest Series Seed financing, and has also counseled the company on all its successful IP and patent work. The Perkins Coie advisory team includes partners Jim Brenner and Jordan Becker who have provided corporate counsel and patents and IP counselling respectively to Endiatx.

Endiatx is seeking Food and Drug Administration approval for its Pillbot that is designed to replace invasive upper endoscopies and enable broader medical and patient access to its lifesaving technology. Once ingested, the Pillbot can also be easily controlled by a tablet or smartphone.
