Jianzhong (John) Huang

John Huang focuses on People's Republic of China (PRC) trademark prosecution and enforcement.

His background includes trademark portfolio management, trademark-related administrative and criminal enforcement, as well as PRC litigation support for a wide range of Fortune 500 companies from the United States and Europe.

John advises on PRC trademark prosecution strategy, typically in association with onsite investigation and enforcement actions. He has experience on high-profile matters for well-known international brands, often involving novel factual scenarios that include genericide claims, personality and portrait rights, merchandising rights, and the intersection of copyright and trademark protection. John has also assisted in administrative and civil litigations involving trademark rights and claims under China's Anti-Unfair Competition Law.

John earned a LL.B. from the Central University for Nationalities and an LL.M. in intellectual property law from Tsinghua University.
